1 Dhoad Gypsies of Rajasthan – Begha ghara ayo (3)
They’ve played for the Queen and at Sir Mick’s birthday party, if that’s not enough for an inclusion on Bottom of the Pops I don’t know what is.
2 Les BOF! – Je Suis Le Boss (13)
Les BOF !, Genius name.. playing the sort of thing Mods and the NME were calling R’n’B in 1963. It is rather good though. Talking of Sir Mick it sounds a bit like the Stones first album, but in French.
3 The Soft Walls – Misperception (167)
Got that drone, psych pop thing going on and all the better for it.
4 Don’t Dj – Circular Time (193)
Released on Honest Jon’s which is always taken as a sign of quality at chez BOP. Organic, German, Minimal with warm bell sounds on top of a killer forward moving bassline from heaven. Really worth checking out.
5 The Buffalo Skinners – You Say Love, But You Mean Hate (216)
There’s loads of American music like this, great melodies and a rock feel. 99% of them just don’t work 1% do. This does for us, almost has a Lovin’ Spoonful feel about it but more maudlin. You’ll find yourself humming along.
6. Spam Javelin – Fake News (248)
“They gave us Facebook To Take Away Our Minds”. OK that might be overstating it but good old school rock punk with oldies still fighting the fight.. as we should.
7 Herman Chin-Loy (aka The Teacher) – Soul Vibration (315)
This is The Soul Vibration That Rock The Nation… great booga booga from aruga… Need we say more…No.
8. John Dredge and The Plinths – Pancake Day (314)
We all need a song about Pancake Day.
9 Ivan The Tolerable And His Elastic Band – Mothra (325)
Best band name of the week and a rather good tune too. Can’t tell you who they sound like which, as we’ve said in the past, is always a good thing. The song gets further out there as it progresses but doesn’t overdo itself. I’m not sure if that even makes sense. Tis worth checking out.
9 Floorplan – I Feel Him Moving (417)
Best till last. I think so, this week. Floorplan go four to the floor. Would love to hear this on a big system.

GRAHAM DOMAIN
LOVE & SADNESS . EP
There is something strangely magical about the weirdness of the musical world Graham Domain lives; a throwback to the days of the 80s when Japan and Black skirted around the regions of the hit parade; a soothing charade of yesterdays bedsit clothes and art school glamour songs to lose yourself in; to bathe in the afterglow of a pure sadness; an LP to soundtrack falling in and out of love to and an LP to fall in love with.
