APOLOGIES IF A VIDEO ISN’T AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY
1 Rick Cuevas – The Birds (21)
This is rather beautiful. We know nothing of Mr Cuevas but he’s written a great song here.
2 Parsnip – Dummkoph (29)
We’ve had this lot in the chart before and here’s another entry that’s very well deserved. There’s 10’s of thousands of “indie” bands on the planet at any given time and in 2019 Parsnip, The Shifters, Display Homes & RMFC are the ones that really matter.
3 Fake Turins – Afterwards (32)
Probably should have taken more time to listen to this band to decide whether i do like them or not. Still on the fence, to be honest. This sounds like LCD without the funk.. which is sort of the point isn’t it.
4 School of Language – A Beautiful Wall (103)
A whole album by School of Language dealing with the world of Trump that we’ve been living in the past few years. So far, for us, this is the best track on the album. Its got a bit of a Bowie Scary Monsters thing going on.
5 Leoparden – Ormen (155)
Euro house disco sound pitched down, we’re presuming it’s Swedish. Mainly chosen because of his dapper style on the cover (you’ll have to click through to see what we mean)
6. Africa Express – ‘Taranau’ ft. Otim Alpha, Gruff Rhys (395)
Another cut from the new Africa Express album. Bloody good it is.
7 JOSY & PONY – “Indécent Pur-Sang” (376)
Old school French indie sound… what a French release without house music or crooning !! + it has a guy playing the bass wearing a horse head.
8. Gladio – Fist of Gladio (590)
One of Legowelt’s many different projects, this one veers more towards an Italo sound. The whole album is great but this is the standout track. They should get Rusty to do a video.
9 Kit Sebastian – Mantra Moderne (632)
To be honest BOP wouldn’t rush out and buy this ,but for this week it sort of sounds fresh, with a jazz vibe going on. Although in the end one might as well just pull out some old MoWax tunes.
10 Nauticult – Fourth Dimension Extract (619)
OK this one is actually 18 months old but we quite like it for its Kool Keith feel in the rhyming and an almost depth charge feel to it… whatever happened to depth charge?

GRAHAM DOMAIN
LOVE & SADNESS . EP
There is something strangely magical about the weirdness of the musical world Graham Domain lives; a throwback to the days of the 80s when Japan and Black skirted around the regions of the hit parade; a soothing charade of yesterdays bedsit clothes and art school glamour songs to lose yourself in; to bathe in the afterglow of a pure sadness; an LP to soundtrack falling in and out of love to and an LP to fall in love with.
