‘Look at Your Game Girl’ by Charlie Manson is a problem. Marilyn Manson never wrote a song as good as ‘Look at Your Game Girl’.
That is a demo and Marilyn never sang as well as that on a major label release. Most of Charles Manson’s songs are trash. But he has one diamond that should have got his weird ass signed as a wild eyed sex panther crooner, and that is…
‘Look at Your Game Girl’.
It is troubling because Charles Manson is a way better singer and lyric writer than pretty much any modern Jam band of note. Every body in Phish sings, but none of them can saaaaang like Charles.
WTF.
But it’s all troubling because he is a murderous uber racist pycho path. Dennis Wilson claimed that he saw this sh☆tbag shoot an African American with an M-16 and toss him down a well, dashing the idea that he never actually did the gruesome deed.
I really really really don’t like Charles Manson. I don’t want to read Helter Skelter. I don’t want to know his story any deeper than Tarantino is gonna’ tell it.
But he wrote one good song and he could sing well enough to get at least Adam and Blake Shelton to turn around and stare into his crazy f☆cking eyes.
Manson probably had better pipes than Shelton and Adam the machine Levine. But any girl on that show would have left them all in the dust. Double standards you know. Ginger Rodgers did everything Fred Estaire did backwards in heels. Manson made his girls do all the dirty work. What a sh☆tbag. But I digress.
The point is this…
The Beach Boys covered the wrong Charles Manson song dude.
“Look at your Game Girl”
DISCLAIMER: I had Dennis Wilson‘s look (below) the entire listen,
“No. No dude. Charles Manson can’t be a better songwriter than Trey Anastacio. Oh no this proto-neo Nazi sings better than Lou Reed. Oh my God this guy is like the prison yard babbling pychopath version of Bing f☆cking Crosby. How? Why?”
The morale of this story is that if Charles Manson is a better singer songwriter than you, quit.
