2 Exek – Commercial Fishing (47)
Out on the label that can do no wrong at the moment, Anti- Fade. More electronic music far away from the dancefloor and all the better for it. The new album is great.
3 Aquarian Blood – Anti Fascist (53)
More great lo-fi punk rock with synths and sounds like it was recorded on a 4 track found in the attic.
4 ROC – Mexicans (68)
More bliss from ROC’s latest album, with, of course, a dark streak running through it.
5 . The Roves – Chinese Magazine (276)
Love the title and the song is growing on me pretty quickly too.
6 Gino & The Goons – Outta Control (390)
One of our favourite finds of the year. It’s just like 1977 all over again.
7 Alleged Witches – Pick Up Your Needle (403)
Funky little 12 , stripped back but with these wonderful dub moments . One of those 1 in a 1000 12’s that manages to sound different.
8 The Low Anthem – To Ohio (738)
When i move from existence to non existence this is what i want to hear as i go so i can have final faith in the humanity experiment, this is as close to the divine as i can imgine.
