Nadia Vaeh’s mother passed away when she was 17, making the holidays a hard time for her. “Holidazed & Confused” showcases the gloomy feelings of grief and loss that one can experience around Christmas. “It can be a really difficult time of year amidst the stillness as it brings reminders that some of those loved ones are no longer with us in the physical realm,” she explains. “I wrote this song with my mom in mind. She was a little light force year-round and brought joy to so many. Her presence is always missed, but especially around this time of year when I have more time to reminisce.”
