At 17 years old I found myself stuck in a dark place. Unexpectedly, I met a girl who would turn out to be one of the most important people in my life. She was about as lost as I was and together we were like the blind leading the blind. Our shared experiences going through what we thought would be the most defining years of our lives were what eventually led to the birth of Gangsta Mafia. It’s about creating your own path and daring to walk it, preferably with a good friend by your side. – NEA EINI
A Sweden-based singer/songwriter, self-taught guitarist and rising music producer with a longtime passion for creating art of various forms, music being just one of them. She first got her start in the music industry by playing gigs at local pubs and restaurants in her late teens. In 2015 she auditioned for Swedish Idol and was handed a golden ticket by the judges. Although her run in the competition was short-lived, she was happy to have made it to top 25 and never it let it discourage her from continuing to make music. In fact, it motivated her. In the fall of 2019, she was discovered by the owner of Swedish record label South Nation Music group after posting her original song “Distortion” on SoundCloud. With an over-my-dead-body attitude and disinterest in forcing her musical style to fit into one category only, she often refers to many of her songs as being “mixed genre” or even “genreless”. She thinks that labeling things beforehand, takes away from experiencing them. “Forming an opinion on something you know of is always okay, whether it means you like it or dislike it, that’s okay. Forming an opinion on something you don’t know of, or before having seen it, heard it or whatever, to me is the same as debating on a subject on which you have no knowledge: it’s a waste of time and kind of stupid”.
