Today, stylish and innovative producer/DJ Kitty Ca$h releases her sleek new video for “Just Fine,” a breezily infectious song featuring Platinum-selling vocalist Kiana Ledé.
In the video, Kitty hits the club after getting a timely phone call from a friend. Soaking in the glow of colorful lights, Kitty and Ledé oscillate between reality and the digital world as they dance in the shadows and on the dancefloor. Combining playful energy with the sensual rhythm of the song, the video for “Just Fine” unfolds like a perfect girl’s night out. It’s also pretty cutting-edge.
The visual for “Just Fine” features Microsoft’s new Azure Kinect technology, a spatial computing developer kit with sophisticated computer vision and speech models, advanced AI sensors, and a range of powerful SDKs that can be connected to Azure cognitive services. Using Kinect, the team captured the real-life Kitty moving through each scene with depth-sensor data so they could also show a digital version of the artist in the video. The approach underscores the visions of Kitty and Ledé, who are both always pushing forward.
“When I first heard this song, I was so excited Kitty Ca$h asked me to be on it because it would be my first time singing in Spanish,” Ledé said when “Just Fine” dropped. “I’m Mexican but was never taught Spanish, so I love that Kitty gave me a chance to connect more with my culture.”
For her part, Kitty—who’s worked alongside artists like Rihanna, Doja Cat, DJ Khaled, Kali Uchis, and more—saw the opportunity to expand by making “Just Fine” her debut single.
“I’ve always wanted to see the growth in my artistry and, as a DJ, I feel like there is a natural progression to wanting to create your own records,” Kitty said. “I’ve been able to play so many records I love around the world and I wanted to experience that same feeling with my music. I hope this song evokes an effortless vibe of freedom. Whether you’re home with the fam or out with the girls I wanted to make a record that you could make memories of and dance to!”
