It’s a song of redemption and freedom.” Sudan also confirms her second album will be titled Natural Brown Prom Queen, and includes “NBPQ (Topless)”. Recent new songs from Sudan include her ode to Black hair, “Selfish Soul,” and celebration of the domestic life “Home Maker”. “Selfish Soul” was acclaimed by the New York Times, The Fader, Pitchfork, and more. “Home Maker” was added to BBC 6 Music’s A-list and named Best New Track by Pitchfork, who called it “A swaggering statement of intent with all the idiosyncratic charm that makes her music so memorable.” “(NBPQ) Topless” was written and produced by Sudan Archives, Simon on the Moon, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Ben Dickey. Sudan recently announced the Homecoming Tour and just announced new dates in NYC, Portland, and more. She will perform at several festivals this spring and summer in the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe. Tickets are on sale now. FOLLOW SUDAN ARCHIVES: Instagram | Facebook | Twitter | Website |
