The Northern Threads are a young 4 piece Indie Rock ‘n’ Roll band with a gravel-through-honey style sound formed in the slightly grim yet beautiful fells of West Cumbria back in 2016. Racking up plays on BBC Introducing, airplay on Huw Stephens BBC RADIO 1 show with their track Ferbasach and a place in the ‘BEST OF INTRODUCING’ are just some of the accolades this band has to boast about. Selling out venues in their local area they’re starting to take their blistering choruses, passionate hooks and articulate one-liners out of the fells and into the cities. Penning gigs in Edinburgh and Manchester with The Snuts and Saytr Play and more locally gigs with the likes of Detroit Social Club and Twisted Wheel just to name a few, oh and let’s not forget about their up-for-it and roaring crowd who follow their every move. With headline shows in their hometown Whitehaven all the way down to Birmingham and everywhere in between in the past years, the band have already proven 2022 will be big with their slot at this year’s KENDAL CALLING festival. The Northern Threads latest single is a sun soaked summer anthem set to be played loud all summer long. Track: Sunshine Collective Social: Instagram Track Link: All Platforms |
