Estonian-born, London-based sound artist and pianist Hanakiv has just signed with prestigious Gondwana Records. Her debut single, ‘No Words Left’, is a contemplative and ethereal journey written in collaboration with Alabaster DePlume.
Hanakiv brings together elements of Estonian classical, electronic and ambient music, composing from a place of introspection and reflection. On ‘No Words Left’, Alabaster dePlume provides a one-take improvisation of gliding saxophone over Hanakiv’s beguiling scaling piano melodies. Echoes of Kara-Lis Coverdale, Hania Rani and Arvo Pärt leave the listener in a contemplative and meditative state.
