Dear Listener,
Luna de Xelajú is considered the 2nd anthem of my country, Guatemala. Written by Paco Pérez in the 1940s. I’ve been singing it since I was a teenager and more recently have been performing this song live in my concerts, usually as an encore. I invited my dear friend and incredible artist, Oscar Isaac, to sing it with me for this very special acoustic version. We filmed and recorded it in one take at the beautiful Palace Theater in DTLA. Just two voices with two guitars, singing together this timeless, sweet, and nostalgic song from our motherland.

Luna de Xelajú es considerado el 2do himno de mi país, Guatemala. Escrita por Paco Pérez en la década de 1940. La he estado cantando desde que era un adolescente y más recientemente he estado interpretando esta canción en vivo en mis conciertos, generalmente como al final de la noche, sola yo con mi guitarra. Invité a mi querido amigo e increíble artista, Oscar Isaac, a cantarla conmigo para esta versión acústica muy especial. La filmamos y grabamos en una sola toma en el hermoso Palace Theatre en Downtown LA. Solo dos voces con dos guitarras, cantando juntas esta eterna, dulce y nostálgica canción de nuestra patria.
