29-year-old singer/poet Rory McBride has just released the first track of his upcoming EP Sonic Lullaby. The track “Stay Blue” dropped on V13, who stated it is “All together, alluring and elegantly effortless, ‘Stay Blue’ offers a delicious divided moodiness, half melancholic and half expectant.”
If you are a fan of Dylan’s “Don’t Look Back” or early Leonard Cohen (is there any other kind of Cohen?) – you should definitely take a listen. It’s like he stepped out of a time machine from 1967 with the sharpened sensibilities of peak Nick Drake, Jim Morrison and Allen Ginsberg.
Feel free to take a peep at the following Cinepoem that really encompases his vibes: “Black & White” (Caveat Emptor: Episode 1).
“Black & White” is from his recent book of poetry, Caveat Emptor.
