Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month as Part of the
El Tiny Series
Rawayana reaches another milestone in their career with their debut performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk. The Venezuelan band kicks off the El Tiny series today to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month alongside a stellar line-up including Becky G, DannyLux, Alex Cuba, and J Noa.
Rawayana delivered an electrifying performance opening with their global hit “High,” which put the band on the map in 2016, alongside talented Venezuelan rapper, Apache. The performance was followed by “Funky Fiesta,” “Feriado,” a tribute to Venezuelan folkloric music with “Merengue Pa’ Cintura,” and concluded with “Dame Un Break.” The band was accompanied by other renowned artists and musicians including Orestes Gómez on percussion, Irepelusa and Essa Gante on backup vocals, Ben Aler on keyboard, and Messy Deprat on bass, amongst others. The performance comes at an incredibly opportune time, as their highly anticipated forthcoming album, ¿Quién Trae Las Cornetas?, comes out this Thursday, September 21st.
