Today, Sara Noelle shares her fourth annual holiday original single, “Winter’s Glow,” set in the quieter spaces between the collage of warm, familiar December traditions. The release, produced by Dan Duszynski, is bookended by a woolly, winding rendition of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.”
“This song feels like an almost Christmas detour, letting go of the year before, appreciating the sounds of December and trying to sink into that feeling of joy and hope amid some melancholy.”
Sara Noelle is a singer-songwriter who creates indie-folk and ambient-inspired music. Her third full-length album, Do I Have to Feel Everything, produced by Dan Duszynski, was released in January and features singles “Blooming Yucca” and “Slip Away.”
Everything follows prior LPs’ Cover the Blue, including the single “Clouds,” and Noelle’s debut album, Morning Moon, which sits somewhere between indie-folk and New Age.
Noelle’s original holiday songs (“I’ll Sleep ‘Til Christmas,” “Like Snow (Slowly Falling)” and “Christmas at Sea”) have drawn notice. Her cover of “Christmas Time Is Here” was featured this year in Freeform’s Cruel Summer. In keeping with her annual tradition, her new Christmas songs “Winter’s Glow” and a cover of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” will be released on November 30.
Elsewhere, Noelle edits the literary journal Lyrics as Poetry, which will be releasing its fifth edition early next year.
