BUZZING ALT BAND YONAKA JOIN FORCES WITH CASSYETTE FOR THE RIOT TOUR THIS WINTER TICKETS ON SALE NOW

NEW YORK, NY (January 16, 2024) – Next month, UK alternative disruptors YONAKA—comprised of Theresa Jarvis [vocals], Alex Crosby [bass], and George Werbrouck-Edwards [guitar]—will join forces with UK phenomenon Cassyette to co-headline THE RIOT TOUR across North America.

A true match made in alternative rock heaven, both acts proudly rep Brighton in addition to harnessing a new level of uncontainable and unapologetic British Girl Power energy, attitude, and style. Following an appearance on the sold out SHIPROCKED! cruise, the tour launches at The Social in Orlando, FL on February 12, visits a handful of markets throughout the East Coast, and concludes at Mercury Lounge in New York, NY on February 17.

Cassyette continues to turn heads worldwide. In the past year she has released the explosive single ‘BOOM’, graced the cover of Kerrang! and was the first featured artist for TikTok’s Rock Hub. She is currently supporting Bring Me The Horizon on their huge UK arena tour.

Meanwhile, YONAKA just unleashed a chaotically catchy new single entitled “PREDATOR” via LAVA/Republic Records. “PREDATOR” soundtracks a new cinematic video for the video game VALORANT, developed by Riot Games The video is available on VALORANT’s official YouTube channel HERE. Fans can also listen to “PREDATOR”  HERE and watch the official lyric video HERE.

Additionally, Apple Music touted it as the cover of New Music Daily this week.

Once again, YONAKA incinerates all expectations. Tense off-kilter drums set an uneasy tempo as guitars pierce through the haze. Meanwhile, Theresa’s manic delivery instantly transfixes on a menacingly catchy refrain as she confesses, “I’m wired. I’m hot. I started. Can’t stop. I come out on top. I’m the PREDATOR.” The accompanying visual adopts a “PREDATOR”-style first-person, filtered perspective on a compilation of explosive live footage.

Stay tuned for more soon!

The band just supported Barns Courtney on a North American tour. Last year, they ignited the Welcome To My House EP featuring singles “PANIC”, “By The Time You’re Reading This”, and “Give Me My Halo.” The project has already amassed millions of streams in addition to attracting widespread acclaim. Kerrang! praised, “The seven-track EP doesn’t conform to one genre, with YONAKA dipping into wonderfully crafted pop hooks and gritty rock oomph. Basically: it’s an EP to quench any palette.” and Atwood Magazine praised how “the Brighton band are able to convey what’s hidden within and being forced to the surface; it bares innards with no holds barred.” The Honey Pop christened them “a breakthrough band to keep your eye on.

*THE RIOT TOUR with Cassyette

Sound bends to the whim of emotion. For YONAKA, music morphs in tandem with moods. Distortion teems with tension in moments of heavy catharsis, only to come back down in an exhale of electronic reprieve. As such, the UK trio —Theresa Jarvis [vocals], Alex Crosby [bass], and George Werbrouck-Edwards [guitar]— fuse pop, punk, and hip-hop into a hypnotic alternative rock hybrid. The group burrow deep inside themes of mental health, empowerment and the here and now with clear intention and expansive vision. After amassing over 150 million streams and earning widespread acclaim, YONAKA kickstart the next chapter with the release of their Welcome To My House EP out now via LAVA/Republic Records. The EP features singles “PANIC”, “By The Time You’re Reading This” and “Give Me My Halo.” Theresa explains the EP’s theme., “each song represents a memory or emotion inside me. The experiences I have gone through have all spent time inside my house and consumed me. With the EP being called Welcome To My House, visually I want listeners to be able to open up a door, come into my world and see what each song meant to me at that specific time in my life.” “When you listen to us, I hope you feel empowered, heard, and like you’re not alone,” Theresa states. “Hearing other people’s stories has helped me heal and grow so much and I’d like to be that light for other people.”
Cassyette is a force of nature, there’s no other way to describe her. She’s a no-holds-barred musician who is loudly and unashamedly reclaiming her rock roots making infectious alt-rock pop. After a sold-out debut UK tour, she has supported My Chemical Romance, played multiple festivals in the UK & Europe, won ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ at the Heavy Music Awards, and is currently with Bring Me the Horizon on their UK arena tour. Last year saw the release her single “Boom” following her debut mixtape, ‘Sad Girl’ which was praised by critics, with NME hailing it as a “bold, brilliant debut worth shouting about”.
