New York, NY (February 16, 2024) – Taking a classic for a spin, Öwnboss,NXNJAS, and Chamillionaire join forces for a red-hot remix of the legendary anthem “Ridin’ Dirty” out now via Casablanca Records. Listen to “Ridin’ Dirty (Remix)”HERE. Watch the music video HERE.

19 years ago, Chamillionaire dropped the original “Ridin’” in 2005. It peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached quadruple-platinum status in addition to carving out an eternal place in the 21st century vernacular for the central catchphrase “Ridin’ Dirty. Now, Öwnboss and NXNJAS reup, recharge, and reignite this hit for a new generation with the blessing of its original creator.

Together, they translate the O.G. Southern banger to the dancefloor. On the Remix, neon synths power up the beat as the bassline thumps harder than ever beneath the instantly recognizable chant, “Tryna catch me ridin’ dirty. Picking up the pace, it turns on a dime towards a club-ready drop. The accompanying visual jumps back and forth between recent live footage of Öwnboss and NXNJAS and scenes from the timeless “Ridin’” music video.

Regarding the remix, NXNJAS commented, “Ridin’ is our enduring anthem, always on our car playlists and popping off at every party. Late one night, we vibed to the track and thought, ‘What if we added a fat lead synth to chase the chorus rhythm? That would be massive right?’ Enter Öwnboss, a longtime friend we’ve been trying to find the perfect project to collaborate on. We shared the idea, he loved it, and the remix journey began. Fusing the original iconic essence with electronic synths, this remix is a celebration of the track’s legacy and our shared passion for music reinvention, creating a dancefloor banger.”

Öwnboss added, “The idea for this song came from NXNJAS. They had the idea late one night, recorded an audio on their phone explaining it, and sent it to me. I thought the idea was cool because it involved reviving a classic and was challenging since the song isn’t so easy to adapt to the electronic music world. What made the production process easier was that my style blended well with NXNJAS‘s, and the result turned out to be quite powerful. Every time we played it in U.S. clubs, the audience feedback was very positive.”

Öwnboss has impressively popped off as “the second most-streamed DJ in Brazil” with a showstopping signature house style of his own. His breakout smash “Move Your Body” gathered over 1 billion streams across platforms and graced the soundtrack of EA Sports Formula 1 game. Not to mention, it took home “Best Bass House Song of the Year” at the 2022 EDM Awards. Along the way, he has notably teamed up with David GuettaTiësto, and Dimitry Vegas for collaborations. Fans have also experienced his explosive stage presence at TomorrowlandRock In RioLollapalooza, and Creamfields, among others. In 2023, Öwnboss maintained his momentum with “Secrets” and Riot” and will be unleashing music throughout this year.

Asian-American electronic duo NXNJASAndrew Chen and Steven Wright—initially arrived with the 2022 fan favorite “Trinity” [with Felguk].
