Portland, Oregon – 07/19/2024 – Miss Randall is a metal and rock artist with a penchant for pushing past genre boundaries, now taking flight with a powerful new cover of Corrosion of Conformity’s iconic track, “Albatross.” The song, originally released on C.O.C.’s landmark 1994 album “Deliverance,” has become a cornerstone of groove metal, and its riffs and signature vocals by Pepper Keenan have left a mark on how Miss Randall approaches music today: with soul and Southern flair. “Albatross has always been one of my favorite songs,” says Miss Randall “I wanted to create a version that honors the original while infusing it with my sound, something that has come naturally to me since my early teens because I love this genre in particular.” Miss Randall handled the production and put it together with Alejandro Corredor (POUNDER) on guitars and bass. “Albatross” is out now across all major streaming platforms.

Miss Randall is an established singing drummer based in Portland, Oregon, previously in the Los Angeles and CDMX metal scene with former band Rusty Eye and Sergio Arau y Los Heavy Mex. She contributed to multiple releases and gathered independent success, her last and final album “Dissecting Shadows” with the trio was released via Bloodblast (Nuclear Blast). Now considering herself a sui generis musician who traverses heavy metal, rock, and experimental scenes alike, she has been releasing singles that cover different genres including the NWOBHM anthem “Pagan Burial,” The Doors “The Crystal Ship” cover, a Rock EP entitled “Desertations, Vol.1,” and more.
She has recently started a metal duo called Qarinah with virtuoso guitarist Waldemar Sorychta himself (a famed European producer of Lacuna Coil, Tiamat, Samael, Moonspell, and other iconic bands). Early this year, they saw through the successful release of their first single “Hell or High Water” and their upcoming first EP “Transcendent” is set for a September 13 release.
